Headliners - Gizmo's Guide To Great Hats

There is one thing that everyone knows about hats, an that is, there ain't enough of em. Many times have I thought of settin up a petition to the Government to licence a few more hatters, cos quite frankly them Hatters are providin pretty awful customer service. There are only about 5 basic hats bein sold and most fashionables have discovered a new meaning of a hat to kill for, as many of the best ones have to be wrested forcibly off some pirate or bad guy. Surely it is not fair that the bad guys got the best hats?

Anyhow I figured it would save you some time if I rounded up the main sorts of hats being seen about the streets of Stormwind. So here is Gizmo's Guide to Great Hats...

Regal Wizard's Hat
Now here we got a nice purple Regal Wizard's Hat which Tylan is wearing for us. He has a complete purple outfit to go with it. He also has a matchin green hat an outfit as you can see, and last I saw he was workin on a blue outfit. While snazzy, this is really only the sorta thing you would wear at work though. You gotta get shopping an pillaging to expand your wardrobe!

Scarlet Felt Hat
This one is a favourite with people in Stratholme or so I am told cos I never yet bin lucky enough to catch someone out for an innocent stroll wearing one, even though I must of murdered a good 200 or so of em. Can you call Need on a Scarlet Felt Hat? Damn right. You get two photos of this one cos I love the way the light shines through this hat.

Tracker's Headband
Now this is one of my own personal favourite styles which comes in 3 colourways, the red/blue one which is called Rageclaw Helm (which I got), an the green/yellow Tracker's Headband (which I also got and am wearin here), an the turquoise/brown Chieftain's Headress which some fashion hyena beat me to in the Auction House, took me MONTHS to find it again just cos I was too cheap to pay the full price. Never try to save money when it comes to High Fashion. An if you can't find it, try lookin in the Leather section of the Auction House.

Feralheart Cowl
Some might say this hat is over the top but Niashala carries it off pretty good with them Feralheart Spaulders an the rest of the outfit, very nice. Hell to fit in the hat box, but hey.

Embroidered Hat
This one is available from the Hatter in the tailoring shop in the Mage District. No, the other shop. Very nice with all purple an blue outfits, make room for it in your hat collection! More for the mages an ladies than the tin cans, and doesn't Farel look so lovely in it? See the complete outfit in the Stormwind Fashion article.

Arcane Cover
Here Ishbell is modellin another very nice blue hat, this time the Arcane Cover, with the Barbaric Cloth Robe. Most fashionable.

Elder's Hat
Here I am again modellin the Elder's Hat, mainly cos no one else would model it. You gotta have a certain style to carry this one off. Vanhel shut up now.

Mystical Headwrap
Included for completeness. Don't even attempt to carry this one off if you are not a gnome with a full beard like Tinkercog here. Trust me. What were those Hatters thinking??

First Mate's Hat
Of course pirates gotta long hat-making tradition an we are forced to go raidin and killin to get some of the nicest ones. Knock the hat off before you pick a fight with em, there is nothin more annoyin than killin 20 or so pirates an findin all the hats are spattered with blood an brains. Venustar is here wearin the First Mate's Hat. There is also an Admiral's hat if you wanna show off. These hats are real good for the gentleman wishing to make a rakish impression but hampered by a lack of hair...

An here is a picture of Duston, our Artistic Dictator, wearing the same hat by night which I couldn't resist cos he looks so cute an feisty as he squares up to some big lug in a drunken moment...

Master's Hat
An here is Duston wearing a so called Master's Hat, a plain black hat good for colourblind people who want to play it safe and rogues that wanna sneak about but do it in some style.

Russet Hat
This one is also to be bought from the Hatter in the tailoring shop in the Mage District of Stormwind. This is Mesina lookin very sharp in the Russet Hat teamed with the Greater Adept's Robe, this is a beautiful outfit which you can see in the Stormwind Fashion article.

Whitemane's Chapeau
Here is our very own Aylania modelling the beautiful hat belonging to the mistress of that Commander Mograine in the Cathedral part of the Scarlet Monastery. Obviously Ayla beat her in some Fashion Duel as she would, you wanna stay away from Ayla when she is a bad mood don't let the soft sighs fool you that woman is a Professional an you do not wish to be messin with her Voidwalker in an alley some dark night...

Studded Hat
Finally, lets look at how hats can be combined to show many different looks. Here is the commonly available Studded Hat. Note that there are many similar hats, including the very cheap Crochet Hat and the Comfortable Leather Hat. This must be the first hat many fighters pick up, though inexperienced adventurers may not think to put em in the Auction House which they should cos hats are ALWAYS in demand. Find versions of this hat in both the cloth and leather sections of the Auction House. Take a look at how this basic hat is combined by three creative people to create quite different looks...

The Rustic Look, modelled by former Gizmo Hunk Dragonfury in his 'simple man of the earth' period (this recurs about every month when he is tired of Whackin Stuff, quellin riots, opening taverns an fakin his own death, so you ain't missed nothin. There will be another one along in a minute. Personally, I like the bird - nice touch).

An elegant and sexy outfit shown off by Majina. She tells me she had to cut special slits in the hat for her ears and eyebrows, a hatter can assist in this delicate operation.

Balain usin the same hat to establish a very excitin Private Investigator look, extremely stylish, he can take me out anytime hint hint.
